Director Justin Key
music videos, commercials
A Nashville native, Justin Key has been behind a camera since he was eight years old. Raised in a darkroom and shaped by early study under fashion and commercial photographers, he developed a sharp eye for visual storytelling long before it became his career.
At just twenty-six, he stepped into the role of Director of Creative Services and Video Commissioner at Big Machine Records, overseeing the creative direction of Taylor Swift’s music videos, photo shoots, and album design — including the globally celebrated 1989 album.
Since leaving the label world, Justin has continued to build an expansive body of work as a music video director, filmmaker, and documentarian. He has directed or produced more than 250 music videos, along with multiple films and documentaries. The projects he’s helped shape as Creative Director, Director, or Producer have amassed over 15 billion views across streaming platforms.
